Chris Jensen, MS, PT, ATC, CSCS

Chris received his BS in Physical Therapy in 1986 and his MS in Exercise Science 1991 from Long Beach State University.  He is a Certified Athletic Trainer and a Strength and Conditioning Specialist. Since opening Sports Therapy in 1993, Chris has worked with all levels of athletes and has treated a wide variety of orthopedic injuries.   He has over 20 years experience in outpatient care and specializes in manual treatment techniques, designed at restoring normal function and biomechanics.  He enjoys snow skiing, tennis and keeping up with his teenage children. 

Sara E. Addesa, MSPT, Clinic Manager

Sara graduated with a Bachelor’s of Science in Biology from the University of Vermont in 1998. After receiving PT for a running injury in college, she changed career paths and pursued Physical Therapy. She went on to earn a Masters of Science in Physical Therapy from the MGH Institute of Health Professions in 2001. Since becoming a PT, she has worked in a variety of settings, treating patients with neurological, cardiopulmonary, and orthopedic injuries. Sara has several years of experience treating neck pain and headaches in people who have had car accidents, as well as sports injuries. When not at work, she spends as much time as she can outdoors, and chases after her 2 small children.

Jill D’Entremont, PTA

Jill had initially attended UMASS to study Exercise Science before transitioning to North Shore Community College, where she obtained her Associates of Science degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant in 2003. Since becoming a PTA, she has worked in outpatient clinics providing care to a wide range of patients.  She has particular interest in post-surgical orthopedic patients.  She also enjoys hiking and running.

Maureen Simpson, PTA

Maureen graduated from Bay State College in 2006 with her Associates Degree in Science as a Physical Therapist Assistant. Since becoming a PTA, she has worked in outpatient clinics providing care to a wide range ofpatients. She has particular interest in post-surgical orthopedic patients and sports related injuries in the high school and college athlete. Currently she is attending Salem State College, and intends on graduating in May 2010 with her Bachelors in Athletic Training. In her spare time, she enjoys taking dance classes and watching hockey and football.

Kari Wentland, ATC
Joanne

Kari Wentland originally graduated from Salem State College in 1996 with a B.S. in Sport, Fitness and Leisure. From 1999 to 2003 she served in the U.S. Coast Guard at which she became an Emergency Medical Technician among other military training. In 2007, she returned to her alma mater to complete a B.S. in Athletic training and is pursuing a Master's Degree in Exercise Science and Sports Psychology through California University of Pennsylvania. Kari's hobbies include snowshoeing, mountain biking, camping, kayaking and spending time with her family.

Eddie O'Reilly

Eddie comes to Sports Therapy and Rehab after graduating from Endicott College in 2009. Eddie's love for athletics led him to pursue a degree in Athletic training where he' was able to gain valuable experience working with a variety collegiate and high school athletes as part ofhis clinical rotations. During his career at Endicott, Eddie was also a four-year starter and 2 year captain ofnationally ranked Endicott lacrosse teams. While working towards medical or PA school, Eddie works as the Certified Athletic Trainer at Danvers High School, while also serving as a rehabilitation aid at STAR.

Beverly Office

Joanne Ehrenborg, PT, DPT

Joanne graduated from San Diego State University in 2001 with B.S. degree in Kinesiology specializing in Exercise, Fitness and Health. After spending 8 years teaching group fitness classes and personal training, she moved across the country to Massachusetts to attend MGH Institute of Health Professions and graduated with a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2007. She has worked with many top physicians, physiatrists and surgeons from Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital, MGH and other Partners Hospital Affiliates. Her continuing education includes Dry Needling, which is an acupuncture type treatment which treats pain, healing and circulation for quicker recovery. Although she treats all conditions, she enjoys Spine and Sacroiliac dysfunctions. Joanne incorporates Pilates training, core stabilization and Maitland Manual Therapy as part of the treatment method. Joanne enjoys all outdoor activities and is training for a triathlon in the future.

Dan Needham, PTA

Dan graduated from North Shore Community College in 1995 where he received his Associates Degree as a Physical Therapist Assistant.  He has worked in Orthopedics and Sports Medicine since graduating.  He has attended numerous courses for Manual Spinal Techniques, and worked with McKenzie Certified Therapists.  Dan enjoys utilizing these abilities to help the clientele of Sports Therapy regain their function.

Iris Berry, PTA, ATC, MsT

Iris’ love of dance from an early age led her to receive a B.S. degree in P.E./ Dance from University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 1973. She moved north and began teaching with the Marblehead School of Ballet.  In an effort to further assist the students, she received her A.S. as a PTA from North Shore Community College in 1989, and her Athletic Training Certification in 1991.  She served as the Athletic Trainer for Marblehead High School from 1991 to 2003.  Ms. Berry also has spent time teaching in the academic forum.  She has taught at Spa Tech in Ipswich, MA, where she also designed and taught the Anatomy and Physiology curriculum, and is currently teaching in the Athletic Training Program at Salem State College.  Iris uses her extensive background in dance and athletics, as well as her previous experiences in the orthopedic setting, and her Massage Therapy license to assist clients in their rehabilitation.

Jerry Gaglione

Jerry became a Rehabilitation Aide in the Beverly office in 2008. He graduated from Dean College in 2007 with an Associates Degree in Science with an Athletic Training concentration. He is currently part ofthe Athletic Training program at Salem State College, and will be graduating in May 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Athletic Training. He plans to continue his studies and is looking to obtain a Masters Degree in Athletic Training in Graduate School or as a Graduate Assistant. Jerry enjoys playing golfand is an avid supporter ofthe Dallas Cowboys.
